The major challenges for humans in the future will be Food, Health, Information and Communication, energy and resources, etc.  And it is no doubt that polymers play a major role in the future. Polymeric Materials are the Scope of the millennium.  Synthetic polymers play a vital role in medicine and also in the future. The polymers will also be the greater solution for the plastics. Bioplastics can supplant routine plastics in the field.

Over the use of Polymers as Biomaterials have been increased. Seasickness patches are one of the ongoing researches in Polymer Science. Let’s dig some current topics in Polymer Science by joining together.

plastic is said to be a Polymer Material that is added with additives and molded with certain temperature and pressure. For over years Bioplastic is been the solution for the replacement of plastics and bioplastics are made of sugar, starch, cellulose which are biopolymers. Polymer Science 2021 will pave the path for a new invention in Plastics.

Future advancements in nanofiber technology will be fueled primarily by improvements in electrospinning technology and process control to allow consistent production of Nanofiber mats with single-digit fiber diameters, and the potential to combine several physicals, chemical, and biological functionalities into a single fiber to make multipurpose fiber mats and smart materials a reality. The functionalities considered need to move well beyond the simple passive effects of biocidal effectiveness, superhydrophobicity by surface texturing, or simple breathable biodegradable wound dressings.

Degradation is often due to a change in the chemical or physical structure of the polymer chain, which in turn leads to a decrease in the molecular weight of the polymer. This occurs primarily because of the effect of these factors on the chemical composition of the polymer.

A vast explosion in Information and Communication has been witnessed in the past- half-century.  The idea of employing Polymers not only to improve the quality but also to encounter the issues where they have not been employed. Over the last 20 years, researchers have been developed Polymers that exhibit electrical and optical properties which are found only in inorganic materials.

Polymers are the major components in all biological processes. The genetic information required for the growth is being encoded in the DNA which is said to a polymer. Bandaging and dressing have been dominated by the Polymers. Synthetic Polymers are used to make sutures that were used as a cat gun for over 2000 years. Polymer Science 2021 will be the path for future medicinal development using Polymers.

The field of physics that studies polymers, their fluctuations, mechanical properties, their kinetics and the process involving their degradation and polymerization are known as Polymer Physics. Polymer Physics explains the important types of Polymers such as thermoplastics, thermosets, elastomers, and synthetic fibers.

Polymer chemistry is a branch of chemistry that deals with chemical synthesis, chemical properties of polymers, physical properties of polymers, structure, and macromolecules. Polymer chemistry is the analysis of how the smaller monomers combine and create useful materials with specific characteristics by manipulating the molecular structure of the monomers used, the composition of the monomer combinations, and applying chemical and processing techniques that can affect the properties of the final product to a large extent.
